About the project
“Age crossing” is an adult educational project funded by the EU Life Long Learning programme ‘Grundtvig’. It is a partnership project of France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Poland.
The project overall aim is to develop the people`s self-esteem, their views of themselves, their sense of identity and to improve the accessibility to lifelong learning for people 50+ by presenting the status of adult learners in partnership countries, difficulties they encounter and by presenting joint solutions. The aim is also to provide seniors with tools to improve their knowledge and competence in order to avoid their social exclusion and help them re- entering the employment, with the aim of setting up closer partnerships, and support adult language learning and linguistic diversity within the EU, to facilitate and strengthen e-learning and blended learning for seniors, to strengthen understanding of European cultures and languages and mutual respect. The project will involve organizations which operate in Italy, Spain, France, Germany and Poland. The purpose of the project is to promote, on a regional and European basis, the lifelong learning for seniors, for people aged more than 50, to support their activity, their use of ICT and e-learning. Co-operation activities within this project focus on the exchange of knowledge, information, staff and learners across Europe, discuss problems and compare solutions on a particular topic – lifelong learning for adults 50+, isolation of these people.
